Why We're Special
Four key characteristics define the essence of the Aztec Boys & Girls Club. All are critical in exerting the positive impact on the live of a child.
Our Purpose is to promote decency and prevent delinquency through services geared toward the physical, mental and moral well being of the youth in our community by providing education, recreation, vocational and cultural programs based on those principles
Dedicated Youth Facility
We are in an actual neighborhood-based building designed solely for youth programs and activities.
Membership
Present membership is approximately 1,000 boys and girls and is open to all youth between the ages of six and eighteen regardless of race, religion, creed, national origin, social or economic background.
Open Daily
The Club is open every day after school, when kids have free time and need positive productive outlets
How to Join
Applications for membership are available at the Club and must be signed by a parent or guardian. Dues are $10.00 annually.  Program fees are additional and scholarships are available for those in need.
Professional Staff
Our Club has full-time, trained youth development professionals providing positive role models and mentors. Volunteers provide key supplementary support.
Funding Sources
Primary sources of funding are Fundraising Special Events, Grants, Corporate and Individual Donations and San Juan United Way allocations. We are not federal, state, city or county funded.
Available and Affordable to All Youth
The Club reaches out to kids who cannot afford, or may lack access to other programs. Dues are low at $10.00 per year.
Main Unit Hours
The Main Unit, located at 311 S. Ash St. is open until 7:00 pm after school. On all in-service and early release days the Club is open from 7:30 am until 7:00 pm. Summer hours are from 7:30 am until 6:00 pm.

Meet of Our Staff

Joy Nee - Executive Director
Joy Nee has been with the Club since 1997.  She has been the Executive Director since 1999.  Joy and her husband have three nearly grown children- Matt, Cassidy and Catlain and a son-in-law, Jason.  The Nee family enjoys sports and raising American Quarter Horses.  Joy is very proud to be associated with the Aztec Boys & Girls Club and of the growth and positive changes that the organization has made in the past several years. 

Erin Collins - Main Unit Director
Erin has been working as the Unit Director for the Club since April of 2003. She moved to the area from Wisconsin. Erin graduated from Marquette University with a B.A. in Psychology and Criminology. She has been a juvenile probation agent and has also worked for the Big Brother Big Sister program. She truly enjoys the weather here in New Mexico and loves to hike with her two dogs, Justice and Levi. Erin is excited to be a part of the Aztec Boys & Girls Club team and is looking forward to implementing some new programs in the fall.

Hope Potter - Administrative Secretary
Hope has been at the Club since April, 2003. Hope has two boys, one daughter-in-law and one grandson. She feels that the Club gives children in all circumstances the ability to feel safe and important while teaching them life skills that will carry them into adulthood.
